Dissertation Defense: Poonam Argade

The oral doctoral examination of Poonam Argade, candidate for the Ph.D. degree, will be held on Monday, August 3, at 9 a.m. in Sims Hall, room 319 and via Zoom. Argade’s advisor is Professor Himika Bhattacharya. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Chandra Mohanty, Arnisson Andre Ortega, Carmel Christy Kattithara Joseph, and Farhana Sultana. Professor Brice Nordquist will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate's dissertation is: “Pānī ontologies, melodious resistance & anti-caste feminist relationalities with Mumbai’s Pānī Haq Samiti (Water Rights Campaign).”
