The oral doctoral examination of Nicholas Najjar, candidate for the Ph.D. degree, will be held on Wednesday, August 5, at 10 a.m. in the Center for Science & Technology, room 1-132. Najjar’s advisor is Professor Robert Doyle. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors James Hougland, Xiaoran Hu, Weijun Gui and Arindam Chakraborty. Professor Angela Oliverio will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate's dissertation is: “From Wasting to Weight Gain: Design of Peptide Therapeutics for Opposing Metabolic Challenges.”
