The oral doctoral examination of Erika Arias, candidate for the Ph.D. degree, will be held on Friday, August 7, at 11 a.m. in Maxwell Hall, room 402 and via Zoom. Arias’s advisor is Professor Matthew Cleary. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Yael Zeira, Shana Gadarian, and Gladys McCormick. Professor Devashish Mitra will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate's dissertation is: “Memory and the Struggle for Accountability: Comparative Perspectives from Argentina, Chile, and Mexico.”
